Buddhist shrine on the mountaintop |
Globetrotter
The drive over the mountains took a couple of hours. At the very peak we stopped for a restroom break at a gift shop. Directly across the road were some fortifications from the war including a bunker and a Buddhist shrine. We were literally in the clouds, but the sun did peek through for a brief moment. The lady salespeople at the gift shop were vicious and unrelenting. I wound up buying some jewelry for a few of my relatives.
