Valerie and I had been separated from Murphy all day due to wanting to see different things in Taiwan.  We had spent the day at Taiwan National University, riding the High Speed Rail, and walking the streets and shopping while he went off to do his own thing.  That evening she headed out for still more shopping, and I did some wandering on my own.  I eventually wound up at a beautiful Buddhist temple that was located just a few blocks from our hotel.  It was a very colorful, yet serene, setting replete with tourists and worshipers mingling freely.

The shrine definitely had an animal theme
