Baby Olive Visits the Military

Today, April 10, 2012, we visited three military bases - Air Force, Army, and Marine.  Sometime later this week we will also be visiting a naval base - so Olive and her parents will leave here understanding what an enormous impact that the United States military has on this small island.

Olive meets Nurse Leni
While we were at Kadena Air Base Olive got some new clothes and was able to see where Pa Rock works.  She even met several of his friends - and smiled at all of them.  At Torii Station (Army) she got to put her toes in the East China Sea - but the tide was out and the sea did not look very attractive.  Later at Camp Foster Marine Corps Base she got a new swim suit, so we will find someplace nice in the next day or so to do some serious wading!

Enjoy the photos!

Another scene at the park with Olive still sleeping!
The tide was out at Torii Beach - lots of seaweed!
